Modern Warfare 2’s campaign was datamined during the open-beta, and we can now reveal it to you. Obviously, massive spoiler alert for this article.
We always knew that Modern Warfare 2 was going to take us to North and South America, as an homage to the original MW2 from 2009. And we could confirm that much as soon as we began seeing early marketing material. But when the beta was released (here’s our review of how it played), a lot of folks went datamining. You would think that Infinity Ward would prepare for that and remove all the unnecessary data from the beta build, but no. They left a lot of data in, and much of it concerns the campaign.
Based on the findings from datamining the beta, we can now share with you with an overview of the campaign. We know what every mission will be called, where it will take place, and who you will be playing as. So if you don’t want any of that info revealed, maybe stop reading now and go check out what weapons you’ll be playing with in MW2 instead.
