Given that Warzone now includes Nicki Minaj as a playable character, it should come as no surprise to see Activision finding new and more ridiculous ways to monetize Warzone. The next type of cosmetic they’re going to start selling will be different colored smoke grenades. The first of these “Smoke Grenade Skins” will be available with the premium version of the Battle Pass, BlackCell.
It was inevitable that we would see this type of cosmetic sold one day. To be honest, we think colored smoke grenades sound kind of cool, especially because smoke grenades have long been part of the Warzone meta. Let’s just hope MW3 doesn’t go completely wild with smoke grenade colors, we don’t want to see effects added as well.

Warzone Colored Smoke Grenades Confirmed
Call of Duty have officially confirmed that Smoke Grenade Skins are coming to Warzone. They showed the Smoke Grenade Skin that will be released first, with the announcement of all the rewards that would be included with the Season 6 BlackCell Battle Pass.
You will unlock some rewards instantly with the BlackCell Battle Pass:
- Standard Battle Pass +20 Tier Skips (25 on PlayStation)
- A new Tracer Blueprint for the ISO 9mm SMG
- A new robotic pet dog, the Megabyte
- Black Cell Smoke Grenade Skin
- 1100 Call of Duty Points
While some rewards will have to be earned in the traditional Battle Pass manner:
- 6 Tracer Weapon Blueprints
- 10 Operator Skins
- 2 Vehicle Skins
Leaker Claims More Colors Are Coming, Including Black, Yellow & Blue
A well-known leaker, Bob, has claimed that this is just the first of many Smoke Grenade Skins. They recently shared an image from another leaker that showed some of the colors that will soon be available:
