Call of Duty (short form: CoD) is a series
of first-person shooter games with 24 iterations.
With newer games being released one year apart from each other.
The newest entry in the series is Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. In each game you take control of a soldier during wartime, with different games varying in location and time periods. Some taking place in the past and others in the future. The most important game modes are the singleplayer and the online multiplayer. Depending on the iteration, there are different types of online modes. The newest entry offers a traditional 6 vs 6 format, as well as 12 vs 12 battles. The winning team of these deathmatches is decided by the amount of kills.
BOCW offers additional game modes with Call of Duty Warzone, the free Battle Royale and Zombies, where you must fight cooperatively against hordes of zombies. Especially Warzone is a popular game mode and can even be treated as a separate entry to the series. In this game mode, 100- 150 players drop onto a huge map, Verdansk. You can play either alone or with a team of 3 additional players. The objective is to kill other teams and be the last team standing, while the map gets progressively smaller.
